Product Introduction
Shell Oil Cooler Working Principle
During the heat exchange process, high-temperature oil enters through the inlet of the shell and flows around the tube bundle under the guidance of baffles. The heat from the oil is transferred through the tube walls to the cooling medium flowing inside the tubes, such as cooling water or air. After absorbing heat, the cooling medium's temperature rises, while the oil cools down and exits through the shell's outlet. This process cools the high-temperature oil (typically 60°C–100°C) to a safe range (e.g., 40°C–50°C), preventing oil oxidation, viscosity reduction, or equipment overheating.
Shell Oil Cooler Application Areas
Power Industry: Used for cooling lubricating oil in equipment such as generators and transformers, ensuring that oil temperature remains within normal ranges during operation to guarantee safe and stable equipment performance.
Marine Industry: Used for cooling lubricating oil in ship engines to prevent overheating, improve engine efficiency and reliability, and also applicable to other hydraulic and lubrication systems on ships.
Industrial Machinery: Used in the lubrication and hydraulic systems of various industrial machinery such as compressors, injection molding machines, and rolling mills to cool lubricating oil and hydraulic oil, extending equipment lifespan and improving operational efficiency.
Chemical Industry: In chemical production processes, many reaction and conveying equipment require lubricating oil and hydraulic oil. Shell-type oil coolers can cool these oils to ensure normal chemical production operations.
