We will focus on the following core elements from the customer's specific needs to ensure the relevance of the design solution:

Engine parameters: including engine model (e.g. MWM, Cummins, Perkins, etc.), power, displacement, speed, supercharging mode (turbocharging / mechanical supercharging), etc., which determine the heat load of the cooler (the amount of heat to be dispersed), the intake air flow and other basic parameters.

Cooling medium and method: According to the customer's preference or usage scenarios, choose air-cooled (relying on ambient air) or water-cooled (need to match the coolant circulating system), or mixed cooling method in special scenarios; if water-cooled, the type of coolant (e.g., ethylene glycol solution, special coolant, etc.) should be clarified as well.

Installation space limitation: the engine compartment size, piping direction, reserved installation position, etc. provided by the customer will determine the external dimensions (length, width, thickness), interface position (inlet and outlet / inlet and outlet direction) and fixing method (flange, bracket, etc.) of the cooler.

Environmental conditions: including the use of the region's maximum / minimum ambient temperature, humidity, dust concentration (such as mining areas, deserts and other harsh environments need to strengthen the dust-proof design), altitude (high altitude air thin, air-cooling efficiency needs to be optimized for a special) and so on.

Performance objectives: such as the required temperature difference of intake cooling (e.g., cooling 150℃ air to 40-60℃ after pressurization), upper limit of pressure loss (to avoid excessive influence on the intake efficiency), vibration/corrosion resistance (e.g., marine generator sets need to be more vibration-resistant), and so on.
