The charge air cooler can effectively improve the air intake efficiency and combustion efficiency of the engine, reduce the heat load and emissions of the engine, thus ensuring that the MWM genset can operate stably and efficiently under different working conditions, and provide a reliable power supply for users.
After the turbocharger compresses the air, the high temperature and high pressure air enters the charge air cooler. The cooler is usually air-cooled or water-cooled, and through the structure of heat sinks and cooling pipes, the heat in the air is transferred to the outside air or coolant, so that the air temperature is lowered. The cooled air then enters the engine's intake manifold for engine combustion.
Role
Increase engine power: The air compressed by the turbocharger increases in temperature and decreases in density. The charge air cooler can reduce the air temperature, so that the air density increases, more air and fuel can be burned in the engine, increasing the engine output per cycle.

Improve combustion efficiency: The cooled, high-density air allows fuel and air to mix and burn more fully, improving combustion efficiency, reducing fuel waste, and lowering the emission of harmful substances in the exhaust.
Protect engine parts: High temperature intake air increases the heat load on internal engine parts such as pistons, valves and cylinder walls, accelerating wear and aging of the parts. The charge air cooler can reduce the engine heat load and extend the service life of engine components.
Improve turbocharger efficiency: Lowering the exhaust temperature helps to improve the efficiency and service life of the turbocharger, making the performance of the whole engine system more stable and reliable.
