Shell And Tube Evaporators For Low Temperatures

Low-temperature shell and tube evaporators are custom heat exchangers designed for refrigeration systems operating under sub-zero working conditions. Liquid refrigerant absorbs heat from process medium inside the unit, vaporizes to achieve cooling, delivering stable low-temperature output.


Working Principle
Chilled medium (glycol solution, brine, process fluid) flows through the tube side. Low-pressure liquid refrigerant fills the shell side. The refrigerant evaporates by absorbing heat from the medium, lowering fluid temperature continuously. The gaseous refrigerant is then sucked into the compressor to complete the refrigeration cycle.

Anti-freezing design, compatible with ethylene glycol / propylene glycol brine systems

Enhanced liquid distribution to avoid dry-out under low load low-temperature operation
Able to sustain operating temperatures down to -70℃ according to requirements
