Marine Charge Air Cooler With Condensate Drain Trap
This type of marine charge air cooler (aftercooler) is integrated with automatic condensate drain trap, specially designed for low temperature fresh water circuit cooling system. It efficiently drains condensed water separated inside cooler, prevent water droplet entering engine cylinders, protect turbocharger & combustion system.
Working Principle
High-temperature turbo charge air enters cooler, cooled sharply by low temp fresh water
Water vapor inside compressed air condenses into liquid water droplets
Condensate accumulates at the bottom drain chamber
Built-in automatic condensate drain trap discharges water automatically
Keep dry & dry clean intake air flowing into engine, avoid water hammer & cylinder damage
