A Remote Radiator is a type of radiator used in gas engines to distribute heat over a distance. It works in a similar way to a conventional engine radiator, but is connected to the gas engine by pipework that transfers a cooling medium (usually water or a water-glycol mixture) from the engine to the remote radiator, which then retransmits the cooled cooling medium back to the engine.

Remote radiators are typically used in the following situations:

Space constraints: when the installation space of a gas engine is limited, a remote radiator can be mounted further away from the engine to make better use of the available space.

Environmental adaptation: In some applications, due to specific environmental conditions (e.g. high temperatures or pollution), mounting the radiator away from the engine provides better protection for the engine and cooling system.

Reduced noise and vibration: By mounting the radiator away from the engine, the noise and vibration associated with engine operation can be reduced, providing a quieter and more stable working environment.

Modular design: For modular design in some industrial applications, remote radiators can be placed separately from the engine, making the whole system more flexible and easier to maintain.
