The most recent innovation in emission reduction is the exhaust gas recirculation cooler (EGR cooler).
In order to reduce NOx emissions (within the engine), it supplements the existing exhaust gas recirculation. As a result, it complies with the IMO, TIER, EURO, and other emission directives.


In comparison to the traditional EGR system, the combustion temperature is further decreased and the formation of NOx emissions is effectively minimised by recirculating the cooled exhaust gas in the combustion chamber. No operating components are required, and the design can completely meet customer requirements.

The exhaust gas recirculation cooler is subjected to strict requirements, including high temperatures (up to 700 degrees Celsius), sulphurous exhaust gas, and soot particle contamination.

The cooler is available in two versions:
Low-pressure: removal of exhaust gas after the turbocharger
High-pressure: removal of exhaust gas prior to the turbocharger
