What are the common types of air compressor aftercoolers?
Common types of air compressor aftercoolers include air-cooled and water-cooled models.
Air-cooled aftercooler: Utilizes cold air generated by an internal fan to blow over finned pipes, thereby lowering compressed air temperature. Its advantages include compact footprint, lightweight design, low operating costs, and ease of maintenance. Disadvantages include relatively lower cooling capacity and greater susceptibility to ambient temperature fluctuations. Suitable for applications where inlet air temperature is below 100°C and air volume is relatively low.

Water-cooled aftercoolers: These units reduce compressed air temperature by absorbing heat through heat exchange between condensing water in the cooling circuit and high-temperature air. Key advantages include high cooling efficiency, independence from ambient temperature, large heat dissipation surface area, and high water separation efficiency.
