Shell‑and‑tube refrigerant condensers are core heat‑rejection equipment for industrial & commercial refrigeration systems. High‑temperature high‑pressure gaseous refrigerant condenses inside the unit into liquid refrigerant by transferring heat to cooling water or glycol. Widely applied in chillers, process cooling units, cold storage and industrial refrigeration packages.
Working Principle
Superheated refrigerant vapor enters the shell side (or tube side) of shell‑tube condenser. Heat is transferred to cooling medium circulating inside heat‑transfer tubes. Refrigerant releases latent heat and condenses into high‑pressure liquid refrigerant, then drains to liquid receiver. Cooling water takes away heat and flows out for cooling tower dissipation.
