Remote Engine Radiator For Jenbacher Gas Engine
Remote Engine Radiator for Jenbacher Gas Engine

A Remote Radiator is a device in a gas engine system where the cooler (radiator) is placed at a distance from the engine. This configuration is often used for specific industrial applications or where special installation conditions are required. Remote radiators can better accommodate complex engineering conditions and space constraints and provide efficient cooling for gas engines.
In a gas engine, the primary function of the cooler is to transfer the heat generated by the engine to a cooling medium (usually water or a water-glycol mixture) to ensure that the engine operates within the proper temperature range. A remote radiator works similarly to a conventional radiator, except that it is located farther away from the engine and is connected to the engine through equipment such as pipes and pumps.

Advantages of remote radiators include:
Flexibility: the location away from the engine provides more installation flexibility, especially in projects where space is limited or special installations are required.
Reduced noise and heat radiation: As the radiator is located away from the engine, it reduces noise and heat radiation generated in the vicinity of the engine, contributing to an improved working environment and engineering safety.
Reduces temperature fluctuations: Remote radiators typically have a greater cooling capacity than radiators mounted directly on the engine, and are therefore better able to counteract temperature fluctuations and keep the engine within a stable operating temperature range.
Convenient maintenance: Mounting the cooler in an easily accessible location makes maintenance easier, reducing maintenance time and costs.
