Main Turbine Lube Oil Cooler
Main Turbine Lube Oil Cooler
The main turbine lubricating oil cooler is an important piece of equipment to ensure the efficient and safe operation of the turbine.
Main Functions
Cooling lubricating oil:
During turbine operation, the lubricating oil will heat up due to friction and high temperature. The main function of the cooler is to cool down the lubricating oil and keep it within the appropriate working temperature range.
Improve lubrication efficiency:
Through effective cooling, the viscosity of the lubricating oil is ensured to be moderate, thus improving the lubrication effect, reducing wear and prolonging the service life of the equipment.
Prevent overheating:
Avoid oxidisation and deterioration caused by overheating of the lubricant to ensure its lubricating performance and cleanliness.
Structural components
Cooling pipe:
Made of high thermal conductivity material, usually copper or stainless steel, to improve heat exchange efficiency.
Cooling medium:
Commonly used cooling media include circulating water or coolant, which exchanges heat with the lubricant through the cooler.
Temperature Sensors:
Real-time monitoring of the temperature of the lubricating oil to ensure the normal operation of the cooling system.
Filtration device:
Filter impurities in the lubricating oil to keep the oil clean and prevent the cooler from clogging.
Working Principle
Lubricating oil flows in the cooler and exchanges heat with the cooling medium. The lubricating oil flows into the cooler through the cooling pipe, and the heat is absorbed by the cooling medium, thus reducing the temperature of the lubricating oil.
