Heat Exchanger For Generator Exhaust Gas Recovery System

Heat Exchanger For Generator Exhaust Gas Recovery System

Heat exchanger is the core component of the generator exhaust gas recovery system, the main role is to transfer the heat in the high-temperature exhaust gas discharged from the generator to other media, such as cold water, air, etc., to achieve heat recovery and utilization, improve energy utilization, reduce energy waste and environmental pollution.

Structure: composed of a number of tubes, exhaust gas and heat transfer medium flow in the tube and outside the tube, respectively.

Advantages: simple structure, durable, can withstand high pressure and temperature, applicable to a variety of working conditions.

Design and selection considerations

Exhaust gas parameters: including exhaust gas flow, temperature, pressure, composition, etc.. These parameters determine the size, material and structure of the heat exchanger, for example, high temperature, high pressure exhaust gas need to choose pressure-resistant, high temperature resistant materials and suitable structure to ensure the safe operation of the heat exchanger.

Heat exchange medium: different heat exchange medium has different thermophysical properties, such as specific heat capacity, thermal conductivity, etc., will affect the heat exchange efficiency. Common heat exchange media are water, air, heat transfer oil, etc., need to choose the right medium according to the actual demand and system characteristics.

Heat exchange efficiency requirements: According to the overall objectives and energy requirements of the generator exhaust gas recovery system, determine the heat exchange efficiency that the heat exchanger needs to achieve to ensure maximum recovery of heat in the exhaust gas.

Pressure drop limitation: pressure drop will be generated when the exhaust gas flows in the heat exchanger, and excessive pressure drop will increase the exhaust resistance of the generator and affect the performance of the generator. Therefore, the pressure drop limitation needs to be considered in the design and selection, and the appropriate structure and flow rate should be selected to minimize the pressure drop.
