Generator Charge Air Cooler Air‑to‑Air / Air‑to‑Water CACW For Gas & Diesel Power Unit

Aftermarket charge air coolers for generators are available as 1:1 interchange replacement. Matching critical dimensions: core size, inlet/outlet flange position, working pressure, cooling capacity. Custom production per drawing or old‑sample measurement is supported.

Charge air cooler (CAC, intercooler) for power generators cools compressed hot air from turbocharger before entering engine cylinders. Lower‑temperature intake air increases air density, boosts power output, reduces exhaust temperature, cuts NOx emission and improves fuel economy. Widely fitted on diesel & gas generator sets.

Core Construction

Tube‑fin , common material: aluminum alloy; heavy‑duty models adopt copper‑brass or stainless steel

Air side: hot compressed turbo air; coolant side: ambient air (air‑to‑air CAC) / engine coolant (air‑to‑water CACW)

Pressure‑resistant casing, anti‑vibration structure for generator continuous running condition

Key Performance Parameters

Pressure drop: Keep low air‑side pressure drop to avoid turbo efficiency loss

Cooling efficiency: Target 65%‑85% heat transfer effectiveness for generator working range

Mechanical strength: Withstand cyclic thermal shock, engine vibration, surge pressure from turbocharger

Anti‑corrosion: Coating option for coastal, high‑dust or harsh site environment
