Can You Make Replacement Generator Coolers Without Original Drawings?
Short Answer: Yes, we can produce 1:1 replacement generator coolers even without original OEM drawings.
Required information for drawing‑less reverse‑engineer replacement
To match both physical dimension and thermal performance, we need you to collect below data from the existing old cooler:
Full set photos: overall unit, side view, water chamber, flange / nozzle positions, mounting feet, tube‑fin bundle, name‑plate (if still readable).
Critical physical dimensions: overall length, width, height; nozzle diameter & center‑to‑center distance; mounting hole positions; pull‑out bundle size.
Thermal operation parameters: cooling capacity, airflow, cooling‑water flow rate, inlet temperature for air and water, working pressure.
Site environment: cooling water quality, ambient condition, vibration level, corrosion risk (coastal / dusty).
Original material clues: tube & fin material from old unit if identifiable.
Our workflow for no‑drawing replacement
Customer provides photos, dimension measurements and operating data.
Our engineering team completes reverse engineering, generates new production drawing.
Thermal performance verification to guarantee same heat‑dissipation capability as original.
Confirm drawing with customer before manufacturing.
Pressure leak test and inspection before shipment.
Unit fits directly into existing installation space, no major modification to generator.
Important note
If nameplate data is completely lost and thermal parameters cannot be obtained, we can replicate only geometric dimensions. Thermal performance will follow original hardware geometry, but performance guarantee is limited. We strongly suggest getting original thermal data wherever possible.
