660MW Turbine Generator Hydrogen Cooler
660MW Turbine Generator Hydrogen Cooler
Role of the hydrogen cooler
Cooling hydrogen: When the generator is running, the windings and iron core generate a lot of heat, and the temperature of hydrogen rises after absorbing this heat as a cooling medium. Hydrogen cooler reduces the temperature of hydrogen through cooling water or other cooling medium, so that it can be recycled.
Maintaining hydrogen pressure: By controlling the temperature of the hydrogen, the hydrogen cooler indirectly helps to maintain the hydrogen pressure inside the generator, ensuring cooling effect and operational safety.
Improve generator efficiency: Through effective cooling, the hydrogen cooler is able to lower the internal temperature of the generator, reduce heat loss and improve the overall efficiency of the generator.
Extend equipment life: By controlling the temperature, the hydrogen cooler can reduce the thermal stress on the internal components of the generator and extend the life of the equipment.
Application Scenarios of Hydrogen Cooler
Thermal power plants: In thermal power plants, hydrogen coolers are used to cool the hydrogen in the turbine generator to ensure the efficient operation of the generator.
Nuclear power plants: In nuclear power plants, hydrogen coolers are used to cool the turbine generators supporting nuclear reactors.
Large industrial generators: Hydrogen coolers are also widely used in large generators in petrochemical, steel and other industries.
