Working Principle: Through the oil pump will transformer top layer of high temperature oil into the cooler tube, the heat is transferred to the inner wall of the cooler tube and fins, and then by the tube wall and fins to the air to dissipate the heat. At the same time, the air side of the cooler is forced by the fan to blow or extract air, blowing cold air into the cooler tube bundle to take away the heat, so that the hot oil to accelerate the cooling. The cooled oil enters into the lower oil tank of the transformer from the lower end of the cooler or directly enters into the winding oil channel, forming a closed-loop cooling.

Structure composition: mainly includes hot oil circulation system, air cooling system and control and protection components. Hot oil circulation system consists of submersible oil pump, oil flow relay, import and export oil piping, etc., used for forced oil circulation; air cooling system contains heat exchanger tube bundle and fins, axial fan, wind deflectors/deflector shields, etc., to realize the heat exchange between the air and hot oil; control and protection components such as temperature controllers are used to monitor the oil temperature and control the fan and deflector shields. The control and protection components include temperature controllers to monitor the oil temperature and control the starting and stopping of the fan and oil pump.

Advantageous features: the use of high-strength aluminum alloy and other materials, high thermal conductivity, than the traditional steel cooler thermal conductivity efficiency is about three times higher; internal oil channels and cooling fins of the structural design of the heat exchange area increases the heat dissipation performance than the old structure is greatly improved; light weight, small volume, oil filling can be greatly reduced, while reducing the oil pump motor power, fan power, etc., cost savings, but also easy to transport and installation.

Applicable scene: suitable for large capacity (usually 110kV and above, capacity 10MVA or above) power transformer, and high load continuous operation of the transformer, such as substation main transformer, industrial large transformer, etc., these transformers can not satisfy the heat dissipation requirements only by natural cooling or ordinary air-cooling.
