LT HT Remote Radiator For MTU 20V4000L64FB Biogas Generator Dry Cooler
Basic Application
Engine: MTU 20V4000L64FB biogas engine
Rated power: 2500 kW+ biogas CHP/generation, continuous base‑load operation
Cooling solution: Split remote radiator, independent HT (high‑temperature) & LT (low‑temperature) closed loops
Working condition: Biogas with siloxane/sulfur impurities, long‑run heavy‑duty biogas plant projects

Cooling Circuit Parameters
HT Circuit (Jacket Water)
Function: Cool cylinder liner & cylinder head jacket water
Temp range: Supply 85‑95 °C / Return 75‑85 °C
Heat rejection: Main engine jacket waste heat; stabilizes combustion, avoids thermal stress
LT Circuit (Charge‑air & Lube Oil)
Function: Cool charge‑air intercooler, lube oil heat exchanger, optional gas‑cooler auxiliary cooling
Temp range: Supply 30‑40 °C / Return 40‑55 °C
Benefit: Precise intake‑air temperature control, protects engine efficiency & emission performance
Key Design Features for Biogas Condition
Dual‑circuit separate design: HT / LT do not mix, matches MTU 20V4000L64FB native dual‑loop cooling requirement
Anti‑corrosion coil option: Epoxy coated fins / stainless steel tube, resist biogas‑related corrosive condensate & airborne impurities
Remote layout: Radiator unit installed outside engine room; reduce engine‑room heat & noise, flexible site arrangement
EC variable‑speed fan group: Auto‑adjust fan speed by coolant & ambient temperature, save power consumption
Full dry‑cooling, zero water consumption: No evaporative water loss, suitable for water‑scarce biogas sites
1:1 dimensional replacement: Custom‑match engine flow rate, pressure drop, connection flanges according to MTU official cooling specs
Core Advantages
Prevent engine de‑rating under high ambient temperature; keep full‑power output for biogas CHP plant
Remote heat rejection solves poor ventilation problem of compact engine house
Reduce on‑site noise transmission; easy access for service & maintenance
Long service life against biogas‑specific corrosion risk
Support continuous 24/7 base‑load biogas‑fired power generation
