Dry coolers play an important role in transformer cooling.

Principle of operation of dry coolers
Dry cooler usually adopts the air cooling method. It uses air as the cooling medium, and takes away the heat generated by the transformer through heat exchange. Specifically, the hot oil in the transformer flows into the dry cooler through the pipeline and exchanges heat with the air in the dry cooler to reduce the oil temperature. The cooled oil then flows back to the transformer to continue the cycle of cooling.

Efficient cooling: dry cooler can effectively reduce the temperature of the transformer to ensure the normal operation of the transformer. It has high cooling efficiency and can quickly take away the heat generated by the transformer.

Precautions for the application of dry cooler
Installation location: the dry cooler should be installed in a well-ventilated place so that the air can flow smoothly through the dry cooler to improve the cooling effect. At the same time, avoid installing in humid, dusty or corrosive gas environment.
Regular maintenance: Maintain and inspect the dry cooler regularly, clean the dust and debris on the surface of the dry cooler to ensure the cooling effect of the dry cooler. Check whether the pipeline connection is loose and there is no oil leakage.
Temperature monitoring: install temperature sensors to monitor the temperature of the transformer and the outlet oil temperature of the dry cooler in real time. If the temperature is found to be abnormally high, the operation of the dry cooler should be checked in time to find out the problem and deal with it.
